Shipping policy
Shipping Policy
This Shipping Policy explains how orders placed through The Late Shift are processed, shipped and delivered.
Shipping Provider
The Late Shift currently uses Australia Post as our primary shipping provider.
The shipping services available for your order will be displayed at checkout where applicable. We may use another suitable delivery provider in the future or where reasonably necessary to fulfil an order.
Order Processing & Dispatch
Orders are packed and dispatched as soon as reasonably practicable after your order has been confirmed and payment has been successfully processed.
Dispatch times may be affected during:
-
New product releases and high-volume periods
-
Sales and promotional events
-
Public holidays
-
Event weekends
-
Periods of unusually high order volumes
Any dispatch timeframe provided on our website is an estimate unless we expressly state that a particular date is guaranteed.
You will receive confirmation once your order has been dispatched where tracking information is available.
Shipping Costs
Shipping charges are calculated or displayed at checkout before you complete your purchase.
Shipping charges may vary depending on factors including the delivery location, parcel size, parcel weight and shipping service selected.
Any free shipping offer, promotional shipping rate or shipping discount is subject to the conditions displayed with that offer.
Australia Post Delivery Times
Once an order has been lodged with Australia Post, delivery time will depend on the shipping service selected, destination and Australia Post's delivery network.
Delivery estimates provided by The Late Shift, Australia Post, Shopify or through tracking information are estimates only, unless a particular service expressly provides a guaranteed delivery timeframe.
Regional and remote locations may take longer to receive deliveries.
Weather events, natural disasters, transport interruptions, peak periods and other circumstances outside our reasonable control may also cause delays.
Tracking
Where tracking is included with your shipping service, tracking details will be sent using the contact details provided with your order.
Tracking information may take some time to update after your parcel has been lodged with Australia Post.
Once your order is in transit, you may also be able to manage certain delivery preferences directly through Australia Post.
Delivery Address
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address when placing an order.
Please check your shipping details carefully before completing checkout.
If you notice an error after placing your order, contact The Late Shift as soon as possible. We will make reasonable efforts to correct the address before dispatch, but we cannot guarantee that an address can be changed once an order has been processed or lodged with Australia Post.
Where an order is returned to us because an incorrect or incomplete address was supplied, or because the parcel was not collected when required, reasonable additional postage charges may apply before the order is sent again.
This does not apply where the delivery problem was caused by an error by The Late Shift or where you are otherwise entitled to a remedy under the Australian Consumer Law.
Authority to Leave & Safe Drop
Depending on the Australia Post service used, destination and delivery preferences available for the parcel, Australia Post may offer delivery options such as leaving the parcel in a safe place.
The availability and use of these options are subject to Australia Post's applicable delivery conditions.
We recommend using a secure delivery location and monitoring the tracking information provided for your order.
Delayed Parcels
Occasional shipping delays can occur after an order has been dispatched.
If your parcel has not arrived within the expected delivery timeframe, please check your tracking information first and contact The Late Shift if you believe the parcel is significantly delayed.
Where appropriate, we can assist in making enquiries with Australia Post regarding the location or status of your shipment.
A postal or carrier delay does not automatically mean an order is considered lost.
Lost Parcels
If you believe your parcel has been lost in transit, please contact The Late Shift.
We may need to investigate the shipment with Australia Post before confirming that a parcel has been lost.
If an order is confirmed as lost, we will provide an appropriate remedy where required, which may include a replacement or refund depending on the circumstances and availability of the goods.
Nothing in this section limits any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.
Damaged Parcels
If your order arrives damaged during delivery, please contact The Late Shift as soon as reasonably possible.
We may ask you to provide:
-
Your order number
-
Photographs of the parcel
-
Photographs of the packaging
-
Photographs of the damaged product
-
Any other information reasonably required to investigate the issue
Please retain the product and its original packaging while the matter is being investigated, as Australia Post may require the item or packaging to assess a damage claim.
Where you are entitled to a remedy under the Australian Consumer Law, your rights will apply regardless of any Australia Post investigation or compensation process.
Orders Returned to Sender
An order may be returned to us by Australia Post for reasons including:
-
An incorrect or incomplete address
-
The parcel not being collected
-
The recipient being unavailable where delivery could not be completed
-
Australia Post being unable to deliver the parcel
If your parcel is returned to The Late Shift, please contact us to arrange the next steps.
Where the return was caused by incorrect information supplied by the customer or a failure to collect the parcel, we may require payment of reasonable additional shipping costs before resending the order.
If the return resulted from an error by The Late Shift, we will arrange an appropriate solution at no additional shipping cost to you.
Separate Shipments
In some circumstances, items from the same order may be dispatched separately.
Where this occurs, you may receive more than one parcel or tracking number. You will not be charged additional shipping simply because we choose to split an order unless this was clearly disclosed and agreed to when the order was placed.
Changes to Shipping Services
We may change the delivery providers, services or shipping options we use from time to time.
Any shipping service and price applicable to your order will be the service and price presented to you when your order is placed, subject to correction of genuine errors where permitted by law.
Contact Us
If you have questions about your shipment, tracking or a delivery issue, please contact The Late Shift using the contact details provided on our website.
Please include your order number where possible so we can locate your order.
Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in this Shipping Policy is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
Where this Shipping Policy is inconsistent with a right or remedy available to you under the Australian Consumer Law, your rights under the Australian Consumer Law will apply.
